We are often reminded the icons of our youth are growing older.
Gordon Lightfoot died last year at 84. That same day, the members of Aerosmith, all in their 70s, announced they were hitting the road for the final time on the Peace Out tour. This year, we lost Eric Carmen and Dave Loggins.
Rather than letting news like this get you bummed out about getting older, remember that it beats the alternative.
Here’s 10 songs that provide some perspective on aging akin to the words of Abraham Lincoln: “And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.”

“When I’m Sixty-Four” – The Beatles
